Ive always though that flame angels are not reef safe...but on this site it says that they are?I would really like to getone for my 55 gal. "reef in progress."
Does anyone have any input on these?
Thanks a lot

we have a good sized one in our reef. about 2-3 inches . seems to leave well enough alone. we also have a pigmy angel who is cool to. i also think that the potters angel is a great for the reef setup.

All of the dwarf angels are considered reef safe...but any of them can develop a taste for corals. They are hit or miss in that regard. I kept a coral beauty with numerous corals with no problems and many hobbyists have kept flames with success. It is a risk to consider.

I guess sometimes its base on the attitude of the fish and their personality so if you get lucky some the non-reef safe fish won't eat the corals.
