What kind of clean up crew do you have in you refugium (that is very nice, clean sand)? I am hoping to do something like yours myself in the future. Currently my new fuge is getting sand clumps and lots of diatoms...I mean LOTS of diatoms.

Excellent tank. Is the fan in the CSL hood really loud? Mine is and it is kinda annoying.

It was.. I took that one out and put a PC fan in ... Its much more quiet than the one they ship those with.. I also installed another fan on the other side of the light..

Nice tank and setup. Not very fond of the wave tanks but that's just my opinion. What size is the tank?

That is a 90gal Surfline.. I really dont like it either.. but I can tell you it makes getting deadspots out of your tank with powerheads less an effort.. The curves in the tank really do some neat things with the water pressure from the PH's..
Personally Its not the easiest tank to focus on an object through the glass.. especially on a curved section.. It almost makes you dizzy trying to focus your eyes *grin*
Thanks for all the comments.. I love this hobby for sure and will be for a long time to come!

I have only snails.
10 Turbo's
10 Nerites
5 nasssarius (These are great for cleaning your substrate)

Hey razor the tank looks great! I like your set up...I am in the process of getting a new light for my tank...I saw you have the exact pc moonlight set up that I am considering buying..Are you happy with it? Are you running the bulbs that came with it? Does the light increase your water temp very much? ...Thanks and sorry for all the questions...keep the great pics coming ..

THanks and long time no see..
with the fans there is very little heat to worry about.. I think my PH"s create more of a heat problem than this light does. You'll love the light.. You are restricted on what corals you can have in your reef as this is only low to medium lighting. Anything that requires "strong" lighting I recommend VHO or MH...
Also I have noticed that my corals do not "Thrieve" like others that have very expensive and strong lighting.. So I wont lie to you.. I am actively searching for a MH light kit to complement my PC lighting..
I'll tell you what else.. the fish will absolutely love the dawn and dusk atinics, and the moon lights! You will notice a difference in the attitude of your fish right away!!

thanks for the input razor..I am planning on only putting shrooms and zoos in my tank and according to lfs and swf.com they both only need medium lighting..I only have a 55 so I am kinda limited

Nice tanks! I have a question though. How are you sharing the water between your main tank and fuge? I'm looking to set up a 10 gallong fuge next to my main tank and I'm not sure how to plumb everything.

Thanks Jason,
Well its not the only way you can do it.. Nor the best way.. But here is a pic of how i have mine setup... also a thread to some comments a few made to improve my setup.. Mostly with mine the problem is you lose some performance on your pump because of where I put my return "T" in the topology..

Razor, 2 questions. What kind of light is on your fuge and where did you get it. How deep of a sand bed in your fuge. It looks really deep and is there an advantage to that as opposed to 3-4" DSB. sorry, 3 questions. Are snails the only thing you need in a fuge as i never thought of having any kind of cleaning crew in my fuge but it sounds like a great idea.:D

Awesome... thanks for the help. I don't think I could do that set up without an upgrade in the pump department but it may come down to that anyway.
