Refigium Lighting

I was wondering what type of lighting is required for a refugium.

I have 3 watts per gallon PC's on mine but not sure i even needed that much. Lights on 24x7 and 8 types of macro growin like weeds. HTH

I only have about 1 watt/gallon on my refuge and everything seems fine.

ive got a 55 watt 50/50 pc over my 18 tall refug. 24/7 lights
seems fine, but have nothing to compare to

You can throw any kind of light you want on top your refugium, unless you are planning on keeping coral frags down there, which I know some people do. I use to have a Walmart grow light that was doing fine, but I upgraded to 96w of PC and it is about a 35-40gal fug.
