I ended up getting a 100W daylight energy saving swirly bulb, should work fine, never got a straight answer on the other things so it will have to do.

I called manufacturers on every bulb Walmart sells for my fuge. The only one there (at my local store) that is above 6k is the brinks home security bulb, and it is around $12 bucks. Lowes has them for $7, and I liked their clamp more. The tray their bulbs sits in also says their K rating, so it is really easy to pickout a daylight 6500k bulb. My chaeto has grown about 4x from what I picked up.

i went to lightbulbsdirect.com they sell all types of bulbs, i bought a 5100k 16w=75w equivalent compact fluorescent from TCP and it is housed in its own reflector for only $10, i do only have a small fuge so i didn't want a huge system.

mangroves grow very slowly therefore they are a poor choice for a nitrate exporter.
I cut down to feeding my eels once a week. once every 2-3 weeks? that is interesting, mine would eat everyday if they could.
