I eat zoos like that for lunch.
I agree with this post, I have just gotten heavily involved in a spray program for my tree company. In licensing I have seen some really gruesome things that happen when people have the attitiude that I dont need to take precautions because I am a strong, prideful person. You can have the attitude and still get hurt. Most instances where someone gets poisoned is because they think they are invincible.
Anyway, enough witht the preaching. Get the protection and at least wear eye protection, even regular glasses, and a pair of gloves. When you get stung by a 6in bristleworm you'll understand.

I too hope the LFS employee is going to be ok. What a story, that is just horrible. Please keep us posted.
I have a pair of Coralife shoulder length gloves, that I believe were around $20. They are made of rubber with elastic at the top. Very much worth the investment.

All corals have somesort of toxins. This is their means of defense. One never knows if they are allergic until they touch or frag one to find out. Better safe than sorry. Kind of like bee stings, can be stung many times but the last sting could be your last one.

Thanks, Anonome. I didn't know. I always use gloves, but only because I didn't want the junk on my skin to get into the tank. Gald I didn't have to find out the hard way.

I must add eye protection to my list as well. Most of us have been talking about the gloves, but the poor kid was squirted in the eyes, right? Or he rubbed his eye, must remember not to do that. Lifting up prayers that he'll be alright. Any update on him yet?
