removal of algae from front of tank

I believe this is Coraline algae surrounding my walls but not positive, it ranges from greenish-yellow to purple. It has formed a rim around the front of my tank, but only on the bottom 2 inches or so. Whats the best way of removing this? Its a bow front so I'm not sure if a razor blade or something might work; a mag float does almost nothing. I also am curious as to why it forms on the other walls from top to bottom, but only a 2 inch rim on the front; something to do with the flow i would imagine but just seems odd. Thanks for the help I would like to get my tank looking good again.

Get a scraper.....but make sure you get the right one for glass or if you have acrylic

That is Coralline though? just wasn't sure due to the color because everything on the rocks is purple.

Looks like it could be....I get a lot of green coraline on the glass in my 54G

thanks, I'll try a scraper I've have just heard they don't do so well on the curved glass

My 54G is a bowfront, and it does take a little more elbow grease......but it will come off
