You totally missed my point.
And yes, I think if I had to start over, I could. My point was..ambition, work ethic, pushing oneself to succeed and NOT SETTLE for minimum wage.

All well and good if you're fortunate enough to avoid the emotional pitfalls and STD's some of which could potentially kill you. Then for some there are also the moral issues.

I can't believe nobody ever makes the connection when someone asks how a person can support a family on minimum wage. Your not supposed to. Most people have enough sense to get started on a career BEFORE they start a family.

I may be wrong, but most of the time it's the sexually active teenagers that have FREE condoms and getting life experiences that become those families on minimum wage.

I started at where I work 20 years ago. I started at $6.5 an hour
$4.50 hr turning wrenches in 1989. I didn't make $14k that year even working every other Saturday. We collectively broke $100,000 2 years ago. Ambition is the key. $4.50 an hour motivates you to become something better and retire the minimum wage job to the High schoolers as Journey said.
