Effloresce, in reading your post way up yonder, it did sound like you actually got some rics from Guy....that's what I thought anyway. LOL

I have two light green ricordia that have grown in size but never split. They both started with 1 mouth and now have four.

yumas have tentacles (whatever they're called) on the oral disc, rics just have the mouth, with no tentacles on it

VHOs are fine...in fact some seem not to like bright lights. Like these blues are at the bottom of my tank kinda in the shade.

The regular, more common of the rics, Ricordia Florida, is from the Atlantic Ocean. Ric Yumas are from the pacific.

That blue one is nice eagle. Rics come in two types, one that stays flatish like a shroom and one that gets long tentacles?

It means there's an impending split on the way. Can't tell you how soon though.
That's a pretty Ric :)

Beth,
what type of yuma is the green one? Mine look exactly like that. I think mine is a florida ric.

Do Ricordia leave a peice of their base when they move that grows into another ric. like other mushrooms? Thanks for the response, mine just moved over about 2 inches last night on to a bigger rock
