I think there are only two RO membrane manufacturers in the country..If they use Dow membranes then its probably the same 90% rejection rate unless they do like Sperctrapure does and test each memebrane. Even then the 100 gpd is not tested by Spectrapure.
If you plan to buy one of these membranes why take the chance on the 100 gpd, why not just use the 80 gpd?
Spectrapure sells the best membranes I know of, not because they make em its because they test em. If you look on their site you'll see they don't list anything over 90 gals.
Here's my thought on this whole thing
It seems that all we see nowdays is 100 gpd RO units sold on ---- and places like at real cheap prices. Why are we seeing just the 100 gpd units? I still think these units are a good deal (with clear casecanisters, not the solid color cases) when you look at th ecost of a specratpure unit..
FWIW, my tap water test out any where from 170-240 TDS. I get zero TDS off my RO membrane (not RODI) That's pretty good if you ask me. It pretty much makes my DI last for a long lone time.
