IM LOOKING TO BUY RODI. ANYONE IF THIS IS ANYGOOD?
This RO six (6) stage system will provide top quality water. Clear housings, on the three filters, not only make this unit sparkle, this feature also takes the guess work out of replacement of filters. The Ultraviolet unit kills 99.9% of harmful bacteria (E Coli, Coliforms, Viruses Fungi, Algae, Spores etc.). This is a quality unit from a company with over 20 years of water experience and hundreds of water items listed here on ----.
6 Stage Reverse Osmosis System
This sale is for one (1) six stage reverse osmosis system. The system includes a 75 gallon per day Filmtec membrane, membrane housing, flow restrictor, one sediment filter and clear housing, one carbon block filter and clear housing, one DI filter and clear housing, one ultraviolet unit, one booster pump, one in-line carbon filter, saddle valve kit, automatic shut-off valve, fittings, check valve, tubing and filter wrench. This is an assembled complete system (ready to be installed) and the package includes installation instructions.
Special Note 1 : All of the housings (sediment, carbon and DI filter) are standard 10 inch clear housings with 1/4 inch thread inlets and outlets. Clear housings will permit you to observe the filters and thereby allow you to monitor the depletion of the filters. This will take the guess work out of when to replace your filters.
Special Note 2 : This RO system comes without a storage tank and without a faucet kit. The system is customized for users with an existing storage tank or for dispensing directly into an aquarium.

Sediment Filter
This 10 inch sediment filter is made of 100% high purity polypropylene, surfactant free, binder free and adhesive free. This sediment has a special design to trap particulates. Four layers, with outside-in flow and step-by-step micron rating that effectively retains particles and extends the filter life with a much lower pressure drop. Sediment filters are in compliance with FDA requirements and they are NSF Standard 42 certified. Specifications; One (1), five (5), ten (10), twenty five (25) or fifty (50) micron rating, up to 8 gallon flow rate, 10" length and 2 1/2 OD"
They have great particle holding capacity and are being used in a variety of applications such as pre-filters for reverse osmosis systems, pre-filters for water filtration units, aquarium pre-filters and being used as sediment collectors for whole house systems.
Carbon Filter
The carbon block filters are manufactured with high purity Coconut Shell activated carbon with extruded activated carbon block construction. They do not release carbon fines and they are FDA compliant and they are NSF certified. These solid carbon block filters have combined the adsorption capability of carbon, with the ability of a solid block material to selectively strain out particles from the water that is being forced through the filter. Specifications; One (1), five (5), or ten (10) micron rating, 10" length and 2 1/2 OD"
Activated carbon has an electro-positive charge added which results in this type of carbon attracting more chemicals and impurities. As the water passes through the positively charged carbon, the contaminants with their negative ions, are attracted to the carbon granules and thus extracted from the water.
The block of carbon strains out sediment, dirt, bacteria, microscopic worms, algae, asbestos and cryptosporidium. With just water pressure, this compacted solid carbon block is designed to filter sub micron size particles. This microstraining of the water will provide the cleanest and clearest drinking water available.
Activated carbon bonds to thousands of known chemicals. As water is forced through this solid block of carbon, it is forced to slow its flow speed and thereby increase the contact time with the carbon. This slowing of the flow allows the carbon bonding to take place and remove chemical pollutants like toxins, THM's, chlorine, pesticides, bad tastes, odors, etc.
Solid block carbon filters are very uniform and do not channel or bypass as conventional granular activated carbon (GAC) filters are know to do.
Because of the density of the solid block carbon filters, there is no room for bacteria to grow, so these filters do not become an incubator for bacteria as GAC filter are known to be.
These carbon block filters will fit most types of 10" filter housings on the market today and as noted previously, they will fit into the housings on nearly all water filtration and reverse osmosis systems. Carbon block filters preform well in both commercial and residential applications and they are the most widely used carbon filters on the market today.

This is a complete booster pump system (pump, transformer and switch) suitable for use with a Reverse Osmosis System or an application requiring increased PSI. A Reverse Osmosis membrane operates best with 50 or greater PSI and will provide quality water and improved quantity at higher PSI levels. This high feed booster pump system will optimize your RO systems performance. The pump is easy to install and the pressure switch has 1/4" quick connect fittings. We include installation instructions and a flow diagram to assist you in the set up and installation process. Note: The pump, transformer and switch are installed on this RO system so all that is required is for you to plug into an electrical outlet.
This pump will run your RO system at an ideal pressure level regardless of the pressure going in. It is very quiet and totally automatic. It shuts off automatically when the tank is full. This is a "continuous duty pump" designed for years of quiet, efficient service. You will need to listen closely to know it is running and you'll notice a remarkable change in your RO's performance. You will need 115 volt AC source. The electrical current usage is negligible.
Booster Pump
This booster pump is designed to accomplish auto suck. These pumps are 100% tested to insure extended life.
Transformer
The transformer has an input of AC 110 V and output of DC 24 V. 100% factory tested.
Tank Shut-Off Switch
The switch turns off the booster pump when the tank is full (on at 30 psi and off at 50 psi). Closed switch can be set at various shut-off pressures. 100% factory tested. Quick connect fittings.

UV Ultraviolet Light (Sterilizer) with UV Lamp Ballast
Ultraviolet is recognized as superior compared to other methods of disinfection;
* UV is very safe. There are no dangerous chemicals to handle or monitor. Disinfection results are immediate.
* UV has a low initial system cost and a very low cost of operation.
* UV is environmentally friendly. There are no byproducts from the UV process, and nothing is discharged into the environment.
* UV causes no change to the taste or odor of the water disinfected. It is impossible to over-treat water with UV.
* UV systems are very easy to install and maintain.
* UV disinfection is compatible with all other forms of water treatment.

UV is not needed unless your water table is lake fed. If your on municipal water chances are its already had a uv tretment at the public utility. save the bucks on that part

thanks for the imput its cost around 280.
You should be able to get a good unit for $100 less than that without the UV. Seriously, bacteria and viruses cannot get through the RO membrane.

It sounds like fancy marketing of a product..... Too many words, too much added on stuff that its not needed equals a too big of a price..........
Like Guy said, you can buy a good basic product for around a hundred bucks.........My Compact Reef-keeper from "Airwaterice" was 135 with a TDS meter ............years of flawless service with only filter replacements...............
