i was looking at a ro/di unit on the popular bidding site. It appears some don't come with the holding tanks for the water. Do some of them not need it or is it just a add on that u need to buy?
It's just a storage tank and they are small. I would go with a unit that doesn't come with one and just have the filtered water go to one of your containers.
Yeah...my ro/di goes 2 places....directly to my 225G with ato
and into a 13G trash can with an automatic shut off when it hits the float. I always have 10-11G's of ro/di made up
I want to use mine for drinking water also. How fast does it give u water? I take a gallon of water a day to work now(just filtered tap) so dont wanna have to wait long periods for water. They have one for 152.00 with holding tank( 85 gal a day)?
Mine is 75gpd....and it makes 3g's an hour.
How big is the holding tank? I think Flower has one with a holding tank, and once the tank is full it turns off

Do you have a valve where you can get the water before the DI filter. I heard that once it passes thru there it is horrible?
Ahh with a float valve and a shut off valve? I did some research and it looks like that is how..
Humm I already have one shut off valve for my 4 gallon tank... I will have to draw something up at work tomorrow to see If I can figure out a way to run two ASOV, one for the fish tank and one for the 4 gallon tank.

Can the floats go bad?
I would have to guess that anything can......just watch it I guess.....Funny thing though....I was just thinking last night about buying a spare or 2 to have around.....Since I have to order everything online, I thought it may be a good idea
