hey guys, i just raped my tank.. i wanted to make a lot more room with my rocks so i can put corals on the floor too etc.. so i moved EVERYTHING back into my 12 gal on some egg crate.. anyhow..
very DUMB question:
i am going to rearrange my rockwork however obviously there is a tonof CUC under the sand.. how do u go about not crushing the life out of them.

Not sure about that, just be advised that you may have a mini-cycle from doing this and stirring everything up. I wouldn't put coral or fish back in for a couple days. After all the levels are acceptable again than transfer them back.

no no, i just took the coral frags out .. not the LR.. the LR is still in the main tank.. i wasnt that dumb.. haha thanks for the heads up though man..

on my way to go buy more frags.. w00t w00t!.. and maybe 2 half inch pom pom crabs.. but i dont know about those guyse as i have to rescape my rocks soon and i dont want to kill them in the process on acident.. but im 2 down to pick them up.. 10$ each for 1/2" pom pom sound like a decent deal?

Sounds like a good deal to me, I think my lfs sells them for about $25 a pop, so I say go for it. Make sure they have their pom-poms though (mini anemones.)

yeah definetly will make sure they have them... i actually just got home from buying a couple frags.. i didnt have time 2 go to the fish store and check the pom pom crab out i was way 2 tired.. on the plus side... i got some new corals.. ! w00t w00t!.. i got a Tyree Neon Green Toadstool about 1" .. i also have some new zoas.. and i also got a Neon Green Birdnest .. .they are not in my main tank right now and are all put into my 14 gal with the rest of the frags until i fix my rock work hopfully tomorrow..

until i can fix up my rock back in my 24.. ive just been lazy.. trying to find a way to stack a ton of corals and have room on the sand bed for more stuff as well. If i keep my rocks close to the glass am i going to run into trouble with cleaning the alage or a credit card does the trick?..
i noticed its a bit tougher then i was thought it was be to get the brown alage off with a credit card and started to use my hand.

First off, what is that laying in the sand, it looks like frogspawn or hammer maybe. Either way that needs to be picked up asap as that will cause brown jelly disease. Next I wouldn't leave the sps under pc's for very long or it will start losing color fast. Lastly, I use credit cards to scrape the hard to get to areas and the coralline algae that the magfloat seems to have trouble with. HTH

thanks for the heads up.. the damn snails/crabs knock everything over .. it was standing up before but the brach is so damn small that it keeps getting tipped over.. i will fix that ASAP.. and as far as the SPS it will only be in there for 1-2 days at MOST.

arrite reaquascaped it.. wow i like it much more, with A LOT of more room .. u guys will see tomorrow.. just waiting for sand to settle.. w00t w00t!... cant wait to see the tank tomorrow hwen i get back to work.. im kinda excited.

Finally!.. im DONE!.. no more reaquascaping.. this is my final aquascape... completley tore it down and redid it... let me know what you think! Half the corals are not open but its okie, the lights just kicked on.. w00t w00t

.. i actually am pretty happy about it.. i have a lot mroe room on the san bed and a lot more areas i can fill up with corals..

Hands down, this is an awesome rock work!!! Looks great, mind if you have someone copy you, because I'm really thinking about it
