Rookie - Thought shrimp was dead

Went to the LFS yesterday to get my heater exchanged - bought a new cleaner shrimp. This afternoon i checked on the tank and saw what i though was a dead shrimp. Took it out, told my eight year old son we had our first SWF fatality. 5 minutes later he notices the shrimp in the cave. Rookie mistake.

That's so funny. Same thing happened to me. But I had BOTH mine do it the same day!

Remember in the future you can leave the molt in there and it will be consumed. The one that got me was the hermit crabs. It looks like a real dead hermit.

I thought for sure that one of my two porcelain anemone crabs was dead. I was very sad. These guys are awesome. It turns out that their shells look exactly like the live crab and it had just molted. I've seen my shrimp molt often enough, but their shells look more transparent and obvious.

That also happened with my emerald crab. Good to know to leave the molt in the tank. Thanks for the replies.

wait wait wait, You did not by any chance when you saw the dead shrimp say. "GIVE MY DEAD SHRIMP LIFE" did you ?
