Tangs are built to swim. A tang in a small tank cannot get up to "cruising" speed. We all know that muscles that aren't used are not healthy.
Yeah, I'm sure my fish would be doing real well after I necropsied it. You don't have to cut a fish open to see that it's doing well. I've seen larger fish do well in much smaller systems (relative to fish size) - cobia, dolphin, snapper. And yes, I have done numerous necropsies in my day. We'll just have to disagree on this I guess. Have you ever actually ovserved a wild tang swimming on a reef? They aren't exactly zipping around at 100 mph. :happyfish
