Help
My Rose Anenome is shrinking. Its tentacles are never fully out and it looks like the base is getting smaller.
Any suggestions.
Thanks

We'll need some details about your tank to help.
What are you feeding it, how much and how often.
What is your lighting, tank size, water parameters, etc.

I have got a 100 Gallon tank, 4 VHO six foot bulbs, two actinic and two white actinic. Tested water recently everything was fine. Running a Euro Reef skimmer and a Rio 1100 powerhead in the tank for water circulation.
The anenome still moves around the rock its on. I dont feed it anything. I do put phytoplanton in the tank mainly for my frogspawn. I have a bubble anenome of a different color in the tank and it is doing fine. I do give it frozen krill once a month. But I cant give the Rose krill now because it wont extend its tentacles.

These animals need food, lots and lots of food. You're starving it, they don't eat phyto.
I suggest meaty pieces of marine origin. This can include squid, Lancefish, shrimp, etc. Each animal is unique so you may need to experiment to determine its preferences. I recommend feeding it every other day for a while if it will eat that often. You will eventually get a feel for how much and how often.

I never had an anenome before. Fish store dude told dont worry about feeding it. It will live off of the stuff in the water and the light.
