Do you mean your salinity reading on your hydrometer or refractometer is too high?
If so, it will only go down by diluting it with fresh water. Its always a good idea to mix your water in a seperate container so you can check everything before you put in into your tank. The cloudiness will get better as your filters run. Again, it is important to rinse everything before putting into the tank. It takes forever to clean your sand, but it is important to do so as there is just so much sediment/powdery stuff whatever you want to call it, mixed in.
