What's up with salt prices lately....

I ordered a few 5 gal. buckets online back in April and paid $31.99 with free shipping. Just placed another order, same thing (Reef Crystals 5 gal. bucket) and it's now $46.99
plus shipping on top of that. Checked around first, but it looks like it's gone up everywhere.

Is the price at your fish store so high that its worth paying shipping? Isent shipping like 20-40 bucks? I just use IO and get a box of three bags for $30. Looks like the same as most online stores but I dont have to pay 30 bucks for shipping.

Now that's more like it. Thanks, I did not know about this place.

LFS is higher on everything. Shipping on the 2 buckets I just ordered comes out to like $5 per bucket.

I found a site that sells a bucket that can make 160 gallons for $35.99 and that's not on sale. PM me your email if you want the link.

If your talking about *********** then your not really saving money. It adds 19 bucks to your shipping ontop of the normal shipping rate. So its around 25 bucks for ground shipping.

our local reef club gets us 20% off livestock and 15% off dry goods from most of our LFSs. im paying in the 50's for a bucket of tropic marin pro right now.

Right, which is tacked onto your price at the LFS, plus markup.
At least you won't pay the markup,

You got it for free shipping? I had that same promise too, then at the checkout page, they added a weight charge, but the nominal $8.00 shipping charge was waved

If you go to "certain" pet stores with an online printed page, they will honour the online price instore.

I wasn't talking about ***********, maybe Coral was. I have been getting mine from the Dr.s site.

Yes, when I purchased months back there was free shipping, even on the salt. Maybe I caught a sale or something. But even this time, I bought two 5-gallon buckets and the shipping was only about $10 ($5 each). So I'm not complaining about the shipping, just the cost of salt going sky high.
