why are you sick of instant ocean? just curious...
I use oceanic and find it always a consistent reading. I dont even need to test it anymore when i mix.

I have found some interesting articles on salt mixes while researching old tank syndrome. If you're interested, email me at socal57chevy @ yahoo.com so I can send them to you. Just put SWF somewhere in the subject.

If you want cheaper salt that is still useable then go with Kent. If you want high quality salt where you can actually tell a difference then Tropic Marin. Tropic Marin is made by Germans, need I say more?

Salt is all the same (a bunch of marketing bs&lies and expensive)... its time to stop fearing adding 2 part to your tanks and start automating it and loving how consistent and stable it makes your tanks LOL.

whenever i mix new water, i always get some kind of suspended sand thing in the water, which is near impossible to remove before doing a water change. then always happens whenever i buy instant ocean, but never has it happened when i was using any other brand. therefore, i would like to switch. dont give me a hard time about it. how does it affect you if i buy instant ocean or reef crystals or anything else, unless you work for instant ocean?
thanks everyone for the suggestions. looks like ill be going with red sea coral pro, since i know for sure that thats always available locally.
