Sand Cleaning

What can I put in my seahorse tank to clean the sand? I don't want to make any mistakes and put something in that will hurt them. I have some snails and hermits, but I have been taking the bigger hermits out and putting them in my bigger tank. I thought if they got too big they would be dangerous to the horses, and they were messing with my zoo polyp things.

Nassarius snails help.I would get 2 to 4 large ones for your tank.

I'll second that, it's one of the few critters you can put in with ponies

Are the hermits ok? Like I said I have been taking out the bigger ones.

The number one problem I've ran into with hermits is size. They are cannibals, I've witness several fights in which the winner took the loser's shell and finished of the remains. For seahorse tanks, especially ponies, I prefer narsisus snails.
