Earlier this week, 10 days after the president made the small-business remarks, Obama was left having to explain the comments in a 30-second ad called “Always.”
“Those ads taking my words about the small business out of context — they’re flat-out wrong,” Obama says in the spot, looking directly into the camera. “Of course Americans build their own businesses. Every day, hardworking people sacrifice to meet a payroll, create jobs and make our economy run.
"And what I said was that we need to stand behind them, as America always has, by investing in education and training, roads and bridges, research and technology,” Obama concludes at the end of the ad.
Now, I may not be a smart man....but that is not what he said.

Are you re-hashing this again? When he said "People didn't build those business alone, they got help", he meant the STRUCTURES their businesses were housed in.
I'd like to hear Romney's version "Sure businesses made them what they were on their own. And when their executives ran those businesses into the ground, they walked out the door millionaires while their hard-working employees ended up in the unemployment lines and on welfare. Capitalism at its finest! Anyone got businesses I can take over and bleed its viable resources?"

What's amazing is anyone with half a brain would care about a stupid bust of Winston Churchill, or any other piece of artwork in the White House. What's amazing is anyone with half a brain would care about a stupid bust of Winston Churchill, or any other piece of artwork in the White House.  It's a sad state of affairs that anyone that despises Obama finds the weakest and most ridiculous "conspiracies" to try and put him in a bad light.  OOOH, he got rid of a bust of some British legend, and replaced it with one of America's greatest President's in history.  I'll rememeber this one the next time you criticize me for bashing Dimwit Dubya.
apparently you missed the fact the administration accussed him of lying when in fact it was true.......if it was so absurd....why even try to defend or lie about. that is like lying about the color of your socks.
and i believe you are putting words in the presidents mouth.....that is not what he said.....and his spin is even more ridiculous......may as well say businesses could not succeed without the sewer system.

LOL! You missed the whole point. The 0bama administration attacked the Journalist and accused him of lying about the incident that you say no one with half a brain should care about when in fact, he was 100% accurate. How pathetic does that make them? I don't think we've seen this level of viciousness since Nixion or maybe Clinton's Bimbo Eruption squad.

Hmmm, yet 78% of those failing businesses were saved and still operating today. Seems to me if the big bucks were in shutting them down then it would be more like a 78% failure rate.

One of the Companies I drove for when I drove OTR when the Owner Bought it from the Founder of the Company Paychecks where Bouncing Fuel Cards where being Shut off because the Company was BROKE. Well the Guy that BOUGHT IT from the Founder put Every dime he HAD into the Company and at the time they where a 50 truck company in the last 25 Years he has made them into a 300 Truck company based upon their Service to their Customers and also by Pouring the Profits back into the COMPANY. He retired 2 years ago and he earned it.
Or the guy that here in my town Bought a Closed Down MOVIE Theator that was about to be CONDEMED by the city and restored it WITH NO HELP except from his Friends. He now has a Theator that is loved by all and has Bought another in the town North of us that was about to be CLOSED by its owners and alos opened another Business in this Town. ALL ON HIS OWN by Buying Property NO ONE WANTED and REPAIRING THEM TO THEIR FORMER GLORY.
Or the Lady that had ZERO experiance running a Grocery Store and Deli in my town but has lines around the block because of her COOKING and quality of Cooking she does. She bought a Closed Store and Reopened it ON HER OWN.
Or the guy with Zero Exp running a Pizza Place in this town that now has 5 in total all with his Name on them in the AREA. He started with NOTHING also but a Dream and the Equity in his HOUSE and his 401K and made it work.

There were two different busts of Churchill in the White House at the time if I read the story correctly. You want to attack Obama because some dimwit in his administration made some stupid faux pas about which bust was which. You base Obama's integrity on some mundane piece of plaster, bronze, or whatever it's made of. Next you'll call him a lair because he said he only took a leak in the toilet when in fact he took a thirty minute dump. You have WAY too much time on your hands if all you have to do is complain about something as trivial as this.

Unless they have their own septic system, I doubt the health department would let any businesses stay open without proper sewage.
You people live on semantics. You "spin" something to validate your argument and take things completely out of context. Politicians have to literally spell everything out these days REAL SLOW for some people to "get it". Use ONE word, ONE phrase out of context, and the speculators and conspiracy theorist come out of the woodwork. When people chastised Dimwit Dubya for his many "missteps", it was "what he said was a misunderstanding." 0bama's communications directer placed the attack on the White House web site. Hardly some dimwit shooting his mouth off. It just shows how deceitful this administration is when they will lie about something like this.

There is nothing out of context about 0bama's remarks. He might have messed up and said what he actually believes instead of sticking to the script but the words were his. Anyone with ears to hear can watch the tape for themselves.
