Sorry, no first hand experience, but I seem to remember that when introducing schooling fish you should introduce them all together at the same time so they can establish a pecking order as it were. I hope this helps. And besides, of course they can't count, thats why they are always in school(s).

Saltymom,
..30$ in less than two weeks down the drain!
Ouchie, there is a local store here that sells them for 3.99 a piece, still adds up if they are dying but otherwise easily affordable.

I only have 2 green chromis, they were what i originally started with. I have never either one of them aggressive towards the next one, or in that case i have never really seen one without the other. I have had them for almost a year now, they are fun to watch them play tag-a-long.

lookdowns do get huge. Mine are babies (about 6" in length), but will reach about 15" in length over time. I would not house them in anything smaller than a 700 gallon once full grown. But for now, they are doing very well, and are happy.
I got them at my lfs for $60 each. I can give you the name if you are truely interested. rtsmith18@hotmail.com

Lets see...hrmmm.
I got the 3 additional chromis' 2 days ago and they started schooling today =).
I believe the damsels that you have are of different in manner than the chromis I have.
The striped, blue devil and dominos are considerably more aggressive or "bold" as most sellers would put it.

Lookin' good. If green chromis weren't $10 each in my area I may have tossed 6 into my empty 55g and made another tank of it.
