A Sea Hare is a type of Sea Slug.
They do love to eat Hair Algae.
Lettuce Slugs will not eat Hair Algae. Mostly Bryopsis and sometimes select species of Caulerpa.

I've kept a Lettuce Slug but not a Sea Hare.
It it hair algae? If so I see no issue with keeping a Sea Hare.

I have a sea hare......and have had lettuce nudi's......as Bang said.....lettuce nudi's really only eat bryopsis and will surely die of starvation
that being said.....a seahare is a great eater of hair algae.....BUT you have to make sure you have plenty to feed it.....or make preparations that once the HA is gone....you have someone to give it to....Some people say you can supplement with algae sheets.....BUT in the past I have had no success with that (yeah I had others)...
