Sea urchin?

Hello, I was wanting to buy a sea urchin for my tank. My ph is 8.2, my SG is 1.030, my nirtites are 0, and my ammonia is 0, but my nitrates are 20. Do you think an urchin would do well in my tank?
Thanks,
Tigerbarb

I think you need to get your salinity down first...
what size tank?
How old?
What else is in it?
What type of urchin? Do you mean like a pencil urchin..pin cushion??

Your specific gravity is quite high, I agree. that needs to be addressed. Sea urchins are bulldozers, and can really cause problems if you have unsecured frags and rocks.

This thread is almost two years old and as a general rule, nitrates DO effect inverts when they get to high. Urchins are one of the critters that tend to be more effected by high nitrates.
