Sebae Anemone help!?!?!

Hi to start off i have a 29 gallon reef lagoon tank (which is more like 20 gallons with my 6 inches of live sand) that has been set up since last April with seagrasses, some mushrooms, star polyps, 2 flame firefish, and a clown (which does not host in the anemone) The problem is my sebae anemone. Its tentacles were sticky when i first got him but now they are not and he will not hold onto the food i am rying to feed him thawed krill, it just rolls off
I bought it last week, it is a nice light tan color with purple tips. It has found it way into a nice crevice between 2 rocks with its tentacles sticking out. Its tentacles are not retracted and its mouth is not loose. It just moved from the rock i origionallly put it on but has not mooved since then. The lighting i have is three 100 watt compact flouresant daylight bulbs which my corals all grow great under. I had just 2 of them until today when i added a third. The only thing i have done differently is i have added "chemiclean" to get rid of my red slime algae and It says it is reef safe. Does anyone know what could be wrong?

Did you do a water change and follow the directions on the chemiclean? I've heard horrible stories of people destroying their tanks because they didn't follow the directions. So I'd start there.
Also, how big are the pieces of krill you're trying to feed and how often? They really only need to be fed once a week and it should be very small pieces. Since you've only had yours for a short period of time it may not be hungry and may still be acclimating. Honestly, I hardly ever actually feed my anemones, I let them catch the food when I feed my fish.
Cover power heads and just keep observing it.

yes i did the water change, after you add the chemiclean in it says do a water change after 48 hours and by that time the water was a reddish tint from all the dead slime algae. the piece of krill was about the size of my smallest finger nail, and if it is still aclimating could that be why it lost its stickyness?

I would continue to do larger water changes, at least 25% this week on top of what you've already done.
If it's still acclimating, that may be the reason. Just keep an eye on it because usually when the tentacles stop grabbing things, there is an issue. I do think it's just acclimation right now, but you never know.
