Hi to start off i have a 29 gallon reef lagoon tank (which is more like 20 gallons with my 6 inches of live sand) that has been set up since last April with seagrasses, some mushrooms, star polyps, 2 flame firefish, and a clown (which does not host in the anemone) The problem is my sebae anemone. Its tentacles were sticky when i first got him but now they are not and he will not hold onto the food i am rying to feed him thawed krill, it just rolls off
I bought it last week, it is a nice light tan color with purple tips. It has found it way into a nice crevice between 2 rocks with its tentacles sticking out. Its tentacles are not retracted and its mouth is not loose. It just moved from the rock i origionallly put it on but has not mooved since then. The lighting i have is three 100 watt compact flouresant daylight bulbs which my corals all grow great under. I had just 2 of them until today when i added a third. The only thing i have done differently is i have added "chemiclean" to get rid of my red slime algae and It says it is reef safe. Does anyone know what could be wrong?
