Semi-Transparent thing

There seems to be a semi-transparent thing that sticks on my tank. It stretches from one side to another in the front of my tank. Can someone identify for me please. I will post pics in a few, thanks in advance.

It looks like a flatworm. But what do you mean by stretches from one side to the other. It touches both sides at once?
