I live in Southern California.... it's like 70s every single day of the year.
The garage has to be redone so we are turning it into a room.

Nah, I read one of her threads where she was going into the garage to get one of the "spare" chillers because the one she was using sprung a leak.
Stdreb, if we had their money we could just burn ours.

We do indeed run a bunch of chillers..... they never turn on... LOL.

Those nurses bank, that is who makes the real money in the medical field, not the doctors, not the unsurance companies, it is all those stinking nurses...
If we could get a handle on those salaries our healthcare would be cheap!

I hope you can tell, that I was poking fun a them, and not really serious about the larger implications. Other than if you want to be around death, wipe butts, clean up puke and other NASTY things that come out of sick people you can make some pretty good money... And that isn't even dealing with the nasty families. My brother is dumbfounded how ugly the families are to him, when he is nursing...

If you want to put in the time, the money is insane! I just saw one checkstub that was a 5 grander take home. That's not bad for something that in the US takes 2 years to complete. For the amount of investment the return is high.

lol, minus the 80 hours of overtime, and shift pickup bonuses...

We got into a bit of trouble a couple of months ago where the babies came flying in and we needed NICU skilled nurses, not just floats. They were paying crazy amounts of bonuses. Some peeps even worked 20 hour shifts (such as the person did who owned that check).
Two more hours and they'll be meeting to discuss the offers......
