Wow, small world, where on 287, I used to live off of hicks (bonds ranch now I know) right behind the airport.

OMG! I hate you! Not really,
I read a really cool article about cuddle fish and octopus. Where did you get the eggs from? I had thought about looking into them more to see what was needed to keep them. I am setting up a 125g and have a 75g cycling now. How big of a tank do you have for them if they survive? I would love to have an octopus or some cuddle fish...
Amazing animals...please keep us updated
If you don't mind, I may pick your brain a little about octopus too
lol

Got the eggs from Bandensis.com, I believe they have only hatchlings now.
125 could hold about 10 of these guys. 75 would be good for 5 or 6.
Mine will be going into a 60 cube, but I'm going to sell half of them once they are big enough to leave the nursery.
There's a few threads on octos around here.

Only took a month.. finally got the little ones to eat some frozen mysis.
Unfortunately 1 of them decided to eat his roommates. He now resides in a seperate nursery alone, and is about twice the size of the other 2 that are left. Over the holidays the mail was running really slow and I wasn't getting my live mysis deliveries fast enough to keep them all fed. Hopefully now that the frozen foods seem to be on the menu the time between live food shipments shouldn't be a problem.

That's too bad. I didn't go anywhere.
The bigger two are snacking on some ghost shrimp until I get my mysis in. I'll have to put in a separate order for some shore shrimp next time. The littlest of the bunch likes the frozen mysis but isn't quite brave enough to take on a bigger shrimp yet. Hopefully I can get some cool hunting footage soon.

It's not that much different here in the states. You won't see a ceph in a store too often, but when you do everything's randomly named "Common Octopus" which insinuates O. vulgaris. I saw a pygmy at a LFS the other day labeled that. Cracked me up.
