Setting up new 93 cube tank

Hi everyone, I'm setting up a new marineland 93 gallon cube tank. I have 2 bio cubes that will transfer over. I have a eshoppes sump. I need some ideas for led lights.

I just put Kessils on my 125. Absolutely love them. I also got the spectral controller so I have a nice ramp up in the late morning and a ramp down in the evening.

hi papajim...I also have a 93 gallon cube and I actually just got lights like a week ago...if you do a google search these are the ones I got "165W Dimmable full spectrum led aquarium light Marine Reef Coral Fish Tank Lamp"

Those lights will work great for soft coral and some LPS. I have 2 that I ran on my 55. They definitely won't support an anemone and probably not SPS. It depends on what you plan to keep how well they will work for you. They provide great light and the blue and full spectrum can be adjusted separately and put on separate timers.

Looking to get lights that will allow coral, anemones, good fish health

I have no personal experience using these but the lobby tank at BRS is a 120 gallon clown fish harem tank and they have tons of bubble tip anemones in it. It is over a year old. The biggest anemone is probably a foot in diameter. I have seen it in person several times. I was there last week and could have spent hours watching it. They use 2 Radion gen 3 lights. They are clearly working.
I have been told that kessils will support anemones and SPS corals but I haven't had them long enough to know nor have I seen a tank using them long term. That's what I was picking up at BRS last week, my kessils. I always watch the clown fish tank when I pick up there. I did buy 2 small inexpensive SPS frags from SWF last week to test the kessils.

Not sure if u were talking to me about these lights not supporting anemones and such but my brother has these same lights and his anemone is amazing...he has a rose bubble tip and it's about 8-10 inches in diameter fully bubbled up lol

Okay next question for the new tank, the return pipe is surging. Not sure if I need a smaller pump,the current one is 625 gph flow rate. I think I have enough water in the tank and sump. Should I install a valve in the return line to restrict the flow?

I like to have a valve on my return line. Not sure if that is the cause of your problem, I don't really understand the problem, but it certainly won't hurt to have one.

I'm thinking the same thing,in that if restricted a little then the flow could be more even, also in thinking this through some more it will be good to have a valve just so when I'm cleaning the pad I know the water won't flow.

Funny thing, after looking at a few you tube videos I found out that the pre made piece that goes on the end of the overflow pipe was on backwards. Tank is now working perfect. Thanks.
