Sharing my little reef

NEW ADDITIONS AND NEW PICS!!!!
Got a gorgeous porcelain crab! He is tan with blue and purple strips. He is also quite large. $5 bargain, IMO.
Also, added a yellow sea cucumber. He seems very happy. I had one of these when I first started the hobby. Of course, it withered away because I didn't know that my system was too new. Now, I think I am capable of keeping him.
Also, wanted to share this... Last night, I glance at the tank from the sofa and see that my female clown is hosting my RBT anemone. :)) I could hardly contain myself!! I had to grab the camera... I will be adding those shots shortly. I hope I got some good ones for you all.
Thanks for checking out the little reef.

anybody want a crabby shot?

tiny cuc. about 1 inch... so cute!

here is the little porcelain crab... almost immediately, those little maxillipeds were going nuts!
This picture really shows off the rainbow in the green brain. About a year ago when I got him, he was plain green and very cheap. I love when the ugly duckling turns into a swan.

>this frag rack is getting a little over grown!
FTS from the right
Anyone know what this orange/green thing to the right is yet? It's coloring up really nicely :) Remember when it was completely white?
Those acans toward the top of the picture where nonexistent about 3 months ago... anyone know what they are? mint green and red? I like em!

front FTS
this macro isn't great... but I really like the texture and the color here. Wish it was more crisp. Damn this curved glass...
Not great either but I like the "true"color in this one.

Very nice, Defiantly looks like a chunk right out of the ocean. You have so many different corals in that tank of yours. I bet live it looks amazing.

Here are the other new pictures!
Another FTS with the clown hosting!

I just made new food for the tanks and these sun corals are LOVING the large variety of micro foods in the cubes.
The CUC is also loving the new food.

WOW just WOW. Clown hosting a anemone my favorite, wish my butterflies wouldn't eat them. That sun coral looks amazing, that is the second one I've seen in a short time. I need to research that guy.

Limpid- I am no coral wiz. That is for sure.
I can say that I have heard that training and feeding is the key. I have mine in a nice "shady" area. There is quite a bit of indirect flow onto them. These guys did not enjoy the dark area in my LED tank whatsoever. You would think that the 150 watts on this tiny tank would be too much for them but they love it.
I feed the tank every evening at the same time. I have noticed that these coral stay mostly closed for a large portion of that day. As feeding time grows nearer, they begin to extend. Once food hits the tank, they are out. It did take a while for them to "learn" the schedule but now, I am having great luck with them.
I am hoping it lasts.
I make my own food for my tanks. I use mysis, PE mysis and all that good stuff but I also use a lot of micro foods. Since I made these new frozen cubes and added marine snow and reef plankton to all the other micros I was already using. The extension of all of my corals, including the sun corals has been fantastic. I can't believe the instant improvement. Even the anemones are looking more bulbous and the carpets are a little more extended. I've been using the new food for about a week.
Noobzilla- Thank you for the compliment. I appreciate it :)
