Bang... i never knew you had a scribbled rabbit. I remember you answering a question i had about them, but didnt know you had one. They are great fish. Rabbits are closely taking over as my favorite fish. When they nibble outta your hand its easy to forget about those little spines on their backs. I would post a pic of mine... but i aint a mod.

Jim

I got mine from this site. The blue-eyed Anthias are females and the lyretail are the males. You can get all females and let one become male or you can get a single male and the rest female.

Same here. I usually forget just how venomous they are until they're swimming by and flair the spine for some reason....that's when I remember.

Neither of the Monti's in the background are the same as the one I asked you about.
I'm not sure. Another M. capricornus (supposedly) is starting to show the same growth pattern. I'm beginning to wonder if it's just bad water or something

Glad to see my fellow mods accept the challenge.....see....we are hobbyists the same as the general membership. Nothin' special.....we just do the old ac/dc routine....you know the deal...."dirty deeds done dirt cheap"......thats us here on the forums......."dirty deeds done dirt cheap!"

If I ever have a need or desire to get another rabbitfish I'll probably go with a scribbled myself....my foxface is a great addition and like kip mentioned I've come to believe the rabbitfish can be outstanding additions to a reef. They serve a purpose and they are simply beautiful....peaceful for the most part....but ya gotta be aware of those spines.....I don't know what I'd do without mine....

Way back in 2000 when I got into the saltwater hobby I was excited about the possibility of keeping a hippo tang...the colors just blew me away.....in time I selected a very small one and initially had it in my old 55 reef for just over a year....its been better than two years now and he still blows me away....family and friends often comment that it behaves more like a well trained pet than "just" a fish.....stunning colors...peaceful nature....and full of personality.

For a very long time I had a coral beauty angel but it was my only livestock loss while changing displays.....I replaced him in the new display with a medium sized flame angel and was very pleased. Never a problem with nipping corals and beautiful coloration...sdly I lost him to unknown reasons.....about a year after adding him he was gone....not a trace remained...I have no idea what happen .... in time I hope to locate another.....either a flame...possibly a coral beauty....or maybe just a little pygmy angel....to round out my fish collection.

Woo Hoo now we are cooking. :D
Ever notice that the mods,
scrape coalline off their glass while the rest of us mortals scrape algae off of our glass?
Viper, your tank is cool, but that yuma looks just great.
Bang $3.35 for your Chromis? I feel ripped off I spent $4.99 each for mine. That scribbled Rabit is a gorgeous fish.
Reef, Cool tank, however you must and I mean MUST show a closeup of those zoos in the bottom of your third picture.
NM, as cool as ever. Love that spotted Goby.

Thanks Squidd, maybe we need to motivate the no show sharks some more. (See above list) Of course it might help if other people would chime in and respond. Not just me. :D
