Shocking discovery today

I got home yesterday to find that my sump/refugium was no longer connected to my main tank. Well I haven't been home to clean my equipment in a LONG time...so I just figured that it was gunked up and needed a good cleaning. I unplug it and then take it out of the water. I clean it up really nicely and then put it back in the water and fire it up.
Nothing. So then I stick my hand in the water. I managed to get my arm past my wrist before I realized that sticking my hand in the tank was grounds for getting the idiot of the month award.
So now I can put another tally on my board because this is the fifth time I've been electrocuted thanks to this wonderful hobby.
Here comes the question. The pump I had was for 450 gallons and was great aside from lasting me a little less than a year. So that pump will cost me 50 plus shipping and handling. Does anyone know the NAME OF A PRODUCT that costs less? Don't be giving me links...just names of products please. Thanks a ton!

Just about any pump should last more than a year. I'm on my second year with a quiet one. All my mags had run for more than a year. So have my tunzes.
I'm happy with my quiet one pump. And will probably stick with it and buy more down the road. It is quiet, doesn't get hot, hasn't leaked, and cheap to run.

Well I bet it doesn't electrocute you either haha. Thanks for the suggestions.

I'd read that too, bought mine used, I've had it running on this tank for over a year. Of course now that I said that, it is going to blow but.
