I have a 55 gallon tank that is 6 months old with 45 lbs. of live rock. I have 2 tomato clowns a flame angel ,scooter blenny, lawn mower blennie a bi colored dottie back and a striped cardinal. I have been looking at adding a small blue tang. Also have several snails and a striped cleaner shrimp. Tank seems to be very stable good filtration and never had an ammonia problem. What sdo you think about adding the Tang. Thanks for any input.

what would you all suggest to add as my last fish with the group I have listed. I would like a blue or yellow fish as most I have now are orange. Any ideas?

I agree that your tank sounds pretty full already, but maybe if one croaks, you can replace it with a blue chromis?

You could probabbly get by with a yellow tang. They dont need as much space as most tangs. Its up to you. I would only get one more fish at the most though.

What are your water perameters? Indeed i concur that your tank is well stocked. If your Trates, TrItes and ammonia are 0 and you are set on getting a Tang, might i suggest removing the Angel and replacing with a Kole Tang? It will still be an extremely heavy bio load and your water conditions will have to be monitored VERY frequently. Additionally i suggest at least weekly water changes of 10%

Kole tang is a good choice also. I dont really see the need to remove the angel though as long as you are gonna be doing a few more water changes than you normally would and doing some tests on your levels regular. You shouldent have a problem. Like I said before though the tang with the angel will be all you will be able to handle.
