hello,
like the title says, im wondering if anyone thinks its worth it to upgrade from a jbj 3 gallon to a 3.5 ADA tank.
it will sit on a desk top not on its own stand.
its not much of an upgrade just the bow front kinda drives me nuts trying to clean it..
the only thing is that imo, the clean look of the ada will be ruined with a current usa satelite fixture with a fixture sitting on top of it.
in your oppinoion, is it worth the upgrade?
even with a 3 g, its alot of work and would cost me roughly 45$ for the ada after i sell my jbj picotope.

I don't know anything about pico tanks...or whatever they are called...but IMO if I was gonna upgrade....I'd be planning on much bigger....I don't see the point for 1/2 a gallon...

its not for the extra .5 gallon. its for the square tank. the ADA tanks are rimless, my pico is but the ADA rimless looks better. the ada's look soooooo clean
its for the tank not the extra 1/2 gallon lol

my only worry, is that everyone with the ada's hang a fixture to make it look more of a natural system.
i will have a light fixture with legs. so i dont want to ruin the "clean appearance.."
thanks

Nah, not worth scrapping your old one for 1/2 gallon more. I would maybe go with an 8. Those tanks aren't that big and can easily sit on a desk.
