I think it's a R. florida too. How many mouths does it have? I could be wrong about this, but I think R. yumas always have just one mouth, but R. floridas can have more than one on the same polyp.

The guy I got it form did not know anything about it really, He said they maybe poisonous to the touch, but was not sure. I traded him some base rock fragments i had left over from awhile ago. As for the mouths, I do not know that either, do i need to feed it or will the lighting be sufficient? Is it normal to close up when 1st introduced to a tank? I acclimated him over 4 hrs (In between working)? The levels are Ammonia 0 Nitrates 0 nitrites 0 PH 8.3. Thanks for the help already. One more thing, as it grows does it split or does it need to be fraged?

Okay, I did the thing I can’t stand, I got a "life form" to care for before I know what it needs. What do I need to do for it, what conditions does it like i.e. current, lights etc, and do I need to feed it?

I think it's actually a rhodactis (Hairy mushroom). You can feed it if you want, but they spread and grow pretty fast on their own.

I dont have one, but I have read (and also double checked with a search) that they spilt, you wont need to actually frag it. HTH.
