size of hippo tangs

I think they will still grow to full size. A 55 is way too small. I have seen them at least 12in at some huge aquariums in Las Vegas.

I know what you mean and I agree but I don't want it mis-interpreted.
Sometimes a smaller tank will cause a SW fish so much stress that it's growth is stunted. This isn't normal and stunted SW fish are very unhealthy and don't normally live even a tenth of their normal lifespan.
This is not the same as freshwater where a few species of fish will grow smaller in smaller containers.
A Hippo in a 55 will never reach full size, it will probably perish long before that.

Yeah thats basically what i meant. I have heard that saltwater fish won't grow to the size of the aquarium there in. A hippo would definetly die long before it reached 12 inches in a 55g.
