I saw some clownfish at my LFS, and the female was HUGE. Probably 4 inches.
What's the normal size of an adult?
Do you just feed your fish more if you want it to grow up bigger?
I hear one clownfish breeder feeds theirs about 12-14 times a day...?

Woah, my new ones are like half an inch... I hope they get that big.
depends on ur tank size. even if ur tank is 100gals! they will probly grow to 2, 2.5, 3 inchs not more than that. also depends on what and how much u feed them. i recommend formula one frozen food and formula one flakes. also some brine shrimp. they like that.

Clownfish maximum size varies from species to species. The smallest I know of is Persula the largest I've seen was a Gold Stripe Maroon.

So if you buy a wild one, do they always grow up to be big? Or do you have to catch them big?
I heard you always want to get tank raised instead of captured..

Tank raised have a much better survival rate and much less chance of disease. The size is genetic, it has nothing to do with where it was born.

When i bought my yellow stripe maroon he was a little over an 2", I have had him for about 6 months in a 30g tank and he is a good 3"s now. Flake twice everyday, mysis once every other day, and purple seaweed twice a week.
