LOL...That's the thing I don't get....what do I do with it...lightly place it on it's "holder"? push it all the way in? Push it in a little?

Right now it is sitting in its "holder"
OH YEAH...Did you have a lot of bubbles wit hthe return? it came with a blue sponge, but I have not put ity on yet

YES, I figured out that's how you hold the cup in place....

You know the little screw thing that comes on the end of MOST air hoses of protein skimmers? THAT...the octo does not have one....it has a "silencer"

NOOOO...it doesn't seem to do anything
The cup itself is what adjusts the water level.....BUT what adjusts the air...you know the bubbles????

i see it has the bubble trap sponge.
so if you close it for a long time it just releases bubbles. and if you open it the bubbles still come out????

It has bubbles regardless...and the big blue sponge is UGLY
WHen I say adjust bubbles I am talking about the collection cup though
