Fish
Yellow Tang
Flame Angel
2 Perc's
McCoskers Wras
Midas Blenny
Bartlet Anthias
Coral

Couple different kinds of Zoa's
Hammer
ORA SPS's (Red Planet, Pearl Berry, Tri Color, Purple Plasma, Orange Digatata)

Orange Rodactus Mushrooms
I am trying to get it going but with everything that is going on with my wife its been hard. But I will not give up!

or maybe he doesn't care what others have to say.....Or maybe he took it in as a rescue from a 30 gallon where it was sure to die.... or maybe.....
Why are any of us taking any of these creatures out of the ocean in the first place? I'm really not going to have that conversation.
This post is for my own information anyways, to time line my own progression.
Forgotten equipment
Red Sea Wave Maker
New Equipment today

2 400 maxi jet pro's

All these pictures were taken with my old Currant lighting fixture, so they are MH 14k pix.

Comment, every one else has
But it was a save from a 30 gallon tank, that someone was misguided into. I really didn't want to justify any of this to anyone, but you made me laugh. I only feed the maintenance amount, not over feed for growth of my fish. I enjoy the longevity of them, not pride my self on size. All my fish are happy (to include the yellow tang.... he had tattered fins and signs of lateral line disease.... BUT SHOWS NO MORE SIGNS OF PROBLEMS.) Also we hear this ohh too often on this and other boards(With no results), I will be upgrading my tank to a 90/110 which ever I find a good deal on by the end of the year (another reason there hasn't been many corals added like my 24g). So I do have plans to give him room to accommodate his growth. I have been on here long enough and have taken the time to learn, so it wasn't done with out knowledge of what I was doing.
Now.... that I have had to justify.....

I really would like to hear your comments! This is mainly for my progress, but others have wonderful insight, hence the popularity of such sites (THAT I have been apart of since Jan. 06)
, and I enjoy hearing it!

Dude, make up your mind.
Yeah, it's no reason to get bent out of shape, I have a powder brown in a 50g (gasp) but only temporarily

That is a nice looking 55g, btw. I like the rockwork.

Very nice! I like slow progress. It seems everyone wants a full tank in no time. Slow is better, IMO!

Tank looks good. Looks much bigger than a 55 because it is long style. So how much of the tank does that LED setup cover? I just got 3 of the PAR 38 LED lamps, but really want to get rid of my PC's before summer. My chiller always has to work over time...I figure if I had that along with the 3 lamps I might be in pretty good shape right?

Well, its coverage would be worse then what it currently is, but I cut the upper center brace out so I get decent coverage. Its raised 14 inches above water line, and only misses the outter 8 inches (each side) from the top, and only 3 inches (each side)at the bottom (Aqua Illuminations are 12 inches longs so it spreads out nicely). Par probably isn't that good because of how much I ask of it, but it will do till I can afford the next 500 bucks for another one.
But to answer your question, yes, you will have plenty of coverage!!!! 2 will cover my tank when I can afford my second fixture. I had to turn up my heater to keep the tank at 78. With my old Current MH fixture I had the heater set at 76 to stay at 78, now I have to have it at 78 or my tank stays at 76.

I agree... but my 1 year and 4 months hasn't been by choice.... rather a lack of money. But I have been able to plan it out, now I have a game plan instead of a mongrel mesh of a tank. I have thought it out, for future placement and look.

Not my choice on the dual overflow..... I actually want to get rid of one.... but prob will just wait till I get a new tank.
I have 2 400 Maxi Jet Pro's on the sides..... so I have them too. I just like a little push from the middle. When I get my new tank I will not have them in the middle. I actually have lots of flow, I will show it in another video when I get the chance. A mag 7 with a squid splitter with 4 outlets, the two Korallias in the middle, and the two maxi jets on the outside.....

Thxs for sharing and opening up!!!! i feel like im in AA lol
I'm really not like that, just had a bad day cause of college finals..... But if we are going to AA status we can do this like Finding Nemo:
Hello, I'm Jeremy....
Everyone, in unison:
Hi, Jeremy
Fish are friends, not food!

Ok, I feel like I need to clarify.
I was not trying to personally attack you or make you angry by asking you why you had a Yellow Tang in your 55G tank, and believe me, if I had not asked, someone else would have. You've been on this forum long enough to have known that. Ultimately, you have a plan for this fish, and I commend you for that. He's small and fine in there for now. If you had specified from the beginning that this was not to be his permanent home, etc, the question would not have been asked. But as someone who feels strongly against having these fish in small tanks, yes, I did feel that it was necessary to at least ask, if for no other reason than to point out to others that may follow this thread that it really isn't a good idea the majority of the time.
For what it's worth, you did ask for comments and mine was that a yellow tang doesnt belong in that size tank...
I happen to think your rock work is really nice. Your Midas blenny is beautiful as well.
