Bo - Thanx for the feedback.
Can I be safe in assuming they won't eat Pipefish? I don't have any, but I was thinking about it.
The refuge is about to become a lagoon.

I wouldn't recommend feeding live foods. You can feed just about any frozen store bought seafood. I usually just cut of some small peices, and let it thaw. SFE are not generally picky eaters.

I doubt a zebra eel would show any interest in a pipefish. Like stated earlier, these guys feed almost 100% on shrimp and other crustaceans. Bo

My SFE would eat fish. Damsel's, Clown's it didn't matter. He may have been the exception to the rule though.
