A scopas should reach a ~5" long, maybe 6 in the 75. It'll be a couple yeas though. Also beware buying one too small - try to get one longer than 2". tangs much shorter than 2 can be hard to feed in qtine. The kole is a different genus (Ctenochaetus) and thus has a different body shape, but would not get much bigger than a scopas, maybe 1-1.5" longer. I'd go with the chromis, meself. Also I'd buy the tang & chromis all at the same time and qtine all at the same time. adding the tang & several chromis, looking at your other tankmates, you'd be about stocked in a 75......maybe 1 or2 more small fish, but that'd be it....remember all the fish you got will likely grow out and will likley double in size over a couple more years. And with a tang planned full grown @ 5-6, that's a pretty good bioload in a 75.

my dads friend had a massive 600 gallon tank and had a 300 gallon sump 3 huge deltec skimmers and the the water was crystal clear and he was on vacation he said i and my dad would take care of the tanks we had to do 100 gallon water changes every 5 days and was a huge mess but he sold the hole setup just for 3,000 dollars to bad if my family had a bigger house my dad said he would have gotten it and made a huge reef

LOL coral guy that sounds like more than i would like to handle.
@tang
I think id be pretty well stocked lol. I already have some of some of those fish so when i break down the 36gal....i could just leave the water in it and put the flimsy flouresent back on it and use it for the Qt tank.
Thxs for the great info and input....specially bout the Qting and stuff! Im thinking ill go with the scopus. I love em idk why. I guess its cuz everything else in my tanks are so colorful and hes so NOT colorful that he stands out lol u know wat i mean? Also reminds me of a yellow tangs evil twin and from the sounds of it...he is!

I can't believe that I just saw that this is the continuation of the 475 gallon tank thread... lol... can you please say something on the old thread(s) (i know you'll have a lot of them) about the continuation on a diff. thread?
I really like following along, and I was wondering why you weren't posting too much on the other thread...

I'll get the original thread updated with some new pics in about 10 days - The new corals will be out of qtine, and into the 475, and the new neptune Apex controller system (just blew $600) should be installed & running too by then (if i can figure it all out) ...Otherwise right now - things just a growin! (and eating)

I must say you're tank is 100% the best tank I've ever seen

It's only a start. the "real" plan will be a knockout! but it'll take a couple years for the sps & lps to grow out!! thanks for your supportive words though!
