So, I have one day to plan my wife's bday

Yup. Her b-day is tomorrow. What am I going to do? I work all afternoon and I am taking care of my daughter all evening. I *guess* I *should* have planned this out over the course of a few weeks. But, nope. That's not my style. Now I'm freaking out because I have nothing planned.
Dinner and a movie sound a bit too boring. I don't want to do anything that I have to make reservations for either... Can someone wrack their brains to help me out in a pinch?

Finger paint art from Emma or something similar, especially since this is her first bday as a Mommy. There are even recipes on how to make homemade finger paints all over the Internet.
What does she like?

If you work all afternoon why are you watching the kid in the evening? Where's the wife going to be?

Anything worth at least twice what your next aquarium purchases amount to! (Expensive but effective politics.) And actually taking her shopping for something she wants always scores brownie points for me (but then I guess you'd need a sitter).

It's my bday tomorrow too... February 9 is a day when greatness was born.
To do it right you either have to put a lot of effort or a lot of money into it. You don't even want to take the time to make a reservation so might I suggest a jewelry store. Good luck...

I personally hate surprises...LOL....and prefer to do my own shopping....SOOOO when my birthday comes around I am happy with just going out to dinner
BUT.....since you have a new baby, BTLD is right.....you need to get a cute Mommy gift.....and w/o knowing what you wife likes it's next to impossible for anyone to suggest something
good luck

I made dinner reservations at a resteraunt we typically dont go to because of the prices. We are seeing a movie she has wanted to see for a while. Also, i paid for her to get a pedicure. I bought her flowers and a card with some money. I arranged a party with my parents next satirday for her. All done without the baby.

Success!!
Hopefully Crimzy passed on the invitation for you to sing to him......Seth I do feel your pain....I say every year I'm going to plan early......
Kinda sucks my moms is Feb 10 and the wife's is Feb 11.....My wife is similar to Meowzer......She'd rather buy her own gifts, so that's what I'm doing....She's expecting big since the skimmer purchase, so I have to be extra good this year.....Actually her birthday weekend......
