I'm so greedy

[hr]
Hello every one, I'm new to the saltwater set up. What I'm mean by that is my ex had a saltwater tank and I just fell in love. I help with the up keep and maintence but never the set up process. I'v read several differnt articals and spoke with aleast 3 different shop. I fell pretty good about this, but i'm still nervous. I want so many different fish. I want a lion, i must have a eel and a grouper.a tigger, and a tang. I only have a 55 gallon tank for now, but i want so many different fish. Am i greedy or what? can this be done in a 55 gal with happy fish. I've had a snowflake eel, a grouper and a puffer in the past. If i do the eel again i want a ghost ribbon eel, if I do a grouper I have to wait see it first to know, the lion will be a gwarf, Tang Blue hippo and finaly the trigger will be a black trigger. Can this be done. I luv aggresive fish. I miss the fish more than I did my ex. I think he murderd them!!Any one who could input on this please do!!!!!!! so many choices

A 55 is not a large tank, particularly for most of the predatory fish that grow quite large. A hippo tang would not fare well in that sized system, nor would a black trigger. Ribbon eels are poor choices due to their high mortality rates. A dwarf lion would work, as would a snowflake eel. I'd look at one of the hamlets and maybe a large maroon clown and call it a day. Research the adult sizes of the fish you plan to keep. Choose fish that won't outgrow the tank and that are compatable. This will enhance your success/enjoyment of the hobby.

nice just summed it up for you.. no triggers, or tangs, and ribbons do usually die, so i might drop the hamlet just because there is going to be a big bioload, so i'd say a maroon clown snowflake, and fuzzy dwarf.

I've read several thread, and came to that same conclusion. That's my last and final answer!! a lion, sfe and a maroon clown. :jumping: Thank you all for your input it was a big help, the lfs said I could put a grouper in, and any thing else I want to put in. I think he just wanna sell.
PS I'll get an anemoe also just for my clown.

Find th meanest and nastiest trigger out there and put him in your tank. Everyoe will knock you for it, but it's worth it, as long as you upgrade in the near future. You have my blessings.

You can't get an anemone unless you have really good lighting, sorry, but if your anemone dies it releases toxins that sometimes completely crash your tank. hope this helped :joy:

30 extra high,
1. You're clearly a loser if you're trying to make friends over the internet "BabyB, I wold love to meet someone in the area."
2. I've ben in this game for ten years and I do know what I'm talking about, through experience, while you repeat what you read in these threads.
3. You're clearly a loser.
4. I'm not looking for credibility, I'm just posting my thoughts and opinions, which everyone is free to do. That's why they call them forums.
5. You're clearly a loser.
6. It's not nice to insult people, especially people you o not even know. Please refrain from your trailer trash up-bringing.

Thank you everyone again for your advice. I'll stick with my list of a lion , sfe and a clown I read up on the clown and like it. I'm also aware of the lighting situation and will accomindate for best results. But I think i"ll be happy with my stock list.
PS - I know 55 gallon is not a large tank but i think it is a good size for a newbie like me, and one day with I'm a big girl I'll get the 300 of my dreams.

That's the best piece of advise anyone could give. Do your own research and do not listen to these simple folk.

carter3, i'm glad you are taking our advice as it is good advice instead of being so heartset on what you want you don't care what happens., i can tell you actually care, and yes, you should also read books, magazines, and sites.
