I buy my antiques at auctions around my area, and then I fix them, clean them, whatever is necessary, and then they get photographed and described and put online... sometimes I sell at antique shows and sometimes even give the same pieces back to a different auction that I got it from because I know that certain items do better at some auctions than others.
And with the money, you know where it goes: saltwater fish!

I was actually in Manhattan today and I stopped by the place I want to work for one day... Sotheby's. I've never seen a place like it... so many items that were being sold for millions each!

exactly what I think.. what about all of those people who freeload off of it? Just drives me crazy that a fraction of my family's money is being spent on bs as you said... and what about all of those government "programs"?

It also matters what business your in... being self employed has it's positives and negatives as does everything. Siptang did an excellent job with the ring.... we need more small, independent businesses and less Wal-Marts, the middle class killer, in my opinion.

Went to the post office yesterday and went through the line etc etc, lady looks to me and say would you like to add any insurance, register it, delivery confirmation?
I said all of the above and she asked, how much for the insurance? I smiled and said 10 grand. She dropped her pen and looks up at me. Said, really? I laughed and said yes and she looked at the box and said this won't do. She gave me a new box and sealed all corners. She was going to town with this thing. Stamped fragile EVERYWHERE.
Finished product lol. She did a helluva job if I have to say it myself.Whoever touches this has to sign for it, so there are no chances of it being lost or stolen unless someone literally grabs it out of the truck. I like this service.
