right, IF it is abused, and used for many many years you will become a moron. And no, I don't need to get "loaded" to be happy nor do the other people I know who smoke weed. It isn't about that to begin with, it's about being relaxed, watching a movie, laughing at everything, having a good time, and gaining 5 pounds in the process. And it really isn't a drug, it is a herb that is grown from our earth, it's called a drug only because it is illegal and has effects if abused.

Can you expand on 'using one form, but knocking the other?" I generally don't really approve on going and getting 'wasted' just to do so, with alcohol. My reason that alcohol should continue to be legal is because good alcohol is genuinely enjoyable to drink. This is an assumption, but I'm pretty sure people don't do pot because they enjoy the smoke...
As far as Phelps being 23, like myself, and being a kid, that's one thing. I'm sure I don't know everything, but I would darn sure know that if I was an 'imagine' a lot of people looked up to, like Phelps, I would know right, from wrong. Honestly if I was anywhere near that status, I probably wouldn't even speed. But if someone's wants to have a good time, that's one thing. However taking a bong hit where he should have know there was camera's isn't being smart.

You managed to nail almost every single point there is always never be a convincing way to legalize weed. People that hide behind/push medical MJ are the biggest d-bags on the planet. They really ruin it for people that could honestly benefit from medical MJ. Again, let alcohol go. If you don't have any real reasons for allowing pot, tossing some random facts about alcohol isn't helping your argument. If legalizing weed doesn't have any legs to stand on, and all you can do is whine about the 'horros of alcohol' maybe weed shouldn't be legailzed then.

And this is pretty much what I've said in every pot thread yet, if someone needs weed to have a good time, they need to get a better/more enjoyable life. You shouldn't need it to have a good time...
You must hang out with some depressed people then, every person I know who smokes, does not do it to get happy cause they hate life, its a relaxing feeling and you just chill when you do it. It's like you hanging with some buddies having a few beers. And boswell had a point, alchohol is legal but yet so many people get DUI's and kill people when uder the influence, all a person would do while under the influence of pot will do is offer you some cheetos and laugh about it.

honestly aqua, i smoke pot because i do enjoy it, ive smoked good pot, ive smoked GREAT pot, bad pot, mediocre pot, and just godawful horrendous pot, its basically the same principle as good booze, and i do enjoy a nice glass of glenlivet scotch same as the next guy, with pot, its the same way, i enjoy some good alaskan weed, some good hawaiian sticky, but, if it aint good weed, i wont smoke it, same with liquor, if it isnt good liquor, i wont drink it

and like salt life said, i dont smoke pot cause i hate life, dude, i honest to god LOVE my life, ive got the GREATEST girl in the entire world, finally got a saltwater fish tank set up, live on the west coast, which btw, its friggin awesome out here LOL.
i smoke pot to relax, have a good time, and calm down, i have the WORST case of adhd my former shrink had ever seen, in his 30+ years of practicing, and ritalin an adderal dont work :p
besides, its just a fun way to watch tv an have a great time, so hell, y not lol

i lived right outside of augusta, i worked in augusta an waynesboro, and honest to god, i will never EVER move back, once u get out here on the west coast, u never wanna go back to georgia, or the south, ever again lol

Are you sure? I thinking you're going it crossed up. You are enjoying the effects of weed, as where your enjoy that Glenlivet itself. Unless you're saying you actually enjoy that horrid smell of pot smoke??
I would hope that if there were no effect to alcohol, it still would be a well established product (like soda or juice). As where if pot did nothing to you, there wouldn't be this discussion.

GA sucks... I stayed in AK for about 6 weeks looking around at areas to move to, got it narrowed down.. Just got to get the money together and try and sell a house in this terrible market
