I picked a new piece of LR yesterday. It came with a small feather duster and some groups of anenome that do no have stalks they are grouped together and have clear tentacles that come out of a short calcified looking base. I spot fed them some brine shrimp and they attached it! I have been researching and I don't believe they are glass anenome I think maybe they are tube anenome's?
Please any input would be helpful. I would like to know if they are ok and not pests.

Thanks! Are they going to be ok in my 12 gal Aquapod with stock lighting? They are ok so far.

Yes. If well fed, they can grow well with just the ambient light from the room. They are considered a pest because they can multiply rapidly and sting other corals.

What can I do to keep these in check?

The more food they receive the faster they grow and clone. If they don't get food they will not spread.

my first time on this thread, I just glanced at the pics and just glanced a bang guys post and thought aptasia. After a closer look and read, Aptasia is probably not the correct answer (my bad.. (bad eyes on a blurry pic) Bang guys ID is probably correct (too blurry for me)

I don't understand why you would want to but just use a screwdriver and scrape the skeleton off the rock. That will kill them.

Oh, ok. If they get out of control now I will know what to do. Remember I am a Newbie and I not know better.

Hey, no problem :)
That second picture is too blurry to see so make sure it looks EXACTLY like the coral in the first pic. They actually require a fair amount of food to survive so I doubt they will get out of control.
Rod thought they were Aiptasia. The picture is really blurry so it is difficult to tell. I'm imagining that I see tiny white balls at the ends of the tentacles. Have you searched for Hidden Cup Coral to verify my ID? It's always a good idea to doublecheck or get a second opinion. If they are Aiptasia they will grow out of control unless you kill them.

Pretty sure you are right about the ID. I looked it up and looks like them. They are pretty cool and bring more life to my 12 gallon Aquapod.
