Something Is Wrong With My Clownfish!!!!

Something is wrong with my clownfish. They both have like 2 or 3 white spots on them. There mouth and face is coloring to white and looks like its been rubbed off by a rock. Kinda like its rotting or something. Not sure, tried to get pics but you cant see it. Gonna try again, if someone doesnt know what happening to my fish. Ab to test my water. I tested everything yesterday and it was fine and I get home and they are like this. Anyone know whats going on or could be wrong?

Put this in the disease forum. Beth and Sep can confirm what it is. Worst case scenario, you will have to set up a hospital tank and treat them. All the while your main tank will have to be fishless for a very long time. That's why you QT them in the first place. I hope not, but put it in the disease forum and Sep or Beth can do an excellent job of helping you out.

Have you noticed them fighting? My 2 clowns in the 54g do that and that is EXACTLY what they look like...they attack each others faces
Can you seperate them??/ From what I understand, they are both the same --- right now, and one will come out the winner..or the female..LOL

YAY YAY...I knew this

Crossed my mind but mine never looked that bad, which is why I thought it best to ask the real disease experts haha. You're probably right, I just didn't want to give him false hope. You're understanding is that they are the same ---? Sorta...They are both juveniles which means that they are neither male or female. They will make the one time switch and that will be their ---. While some argue that at this point they are both males at this stage...

I misspoke. I believe clownfish can change from a male to a female at any time, but once a female can never change back.

not necessarily true. At one point your genitalia was the same as mine...in the womb of course. The estrogen was utilized to make your testes go up and form ovaries. Interestingly enough testosterone is also needed for this process. There is a form of hermaphrodism in which a person completely lacks testosterone. They end up with testicles, but because they are composed of only estrogen, they end up being the most beautiful women (which are technically men) in the world. Tmi? Anyway, I thought this bit of useless knowledge was interesting.

EXACTLY....Once a female why would you want to change back

Um Um..I do not think I can talk about it

OK...I'm kidding...they could be biting each other in other areas

I just know that pic of the face looks just like mine after they fought
Can you get pics of the body?
