I read this story, Here Then looked it up and I like this one too This one also I figured since they are both good stories and in my continuing efforts to post good deed stories, I might as well post both.
I always think it is so interesting how negative news attracts so much more attention than positive news. I wonder what it is about human nature that makes it that way?

SO true.....I saw you posted this yesterday, and meant to come back to it....
C, there was talk about that, but the dude said he was not letting the guy win, he was letting the guy get his trip to nationals.
T, that would be called making lemonade out of lemons!
personally this would just tick me off. Some kid younger than me kicking my butt on the golf course. Then screwing up on the last hole, on purpose because he felt sorry for me. I'd whoop his butt, then resign. I didn't earn it, I'm not going. I find it insulting.

What would take the cake, is that he went out and told everyone... That would push me over the edge. If it was really a selfless act. He wouldn't have told a soul...

I have to be honest... this was my first thought... the thought I sucked back and didn't post. A truly selfless act is one not spoken for. That kid lost nothing for what he did, but gained a lot.
As I posted earlier, I would want to win my rewards. I would not have appreciated the gesture O.O
