Southdown sand?

As you may know my old 90 gallon sprung a leak. Im in the process of setting it up again. This time I decided to go w/ a DSB instead of CC.
Today I went to a local Home Depot and purchased some "Southdown Tropical Play Sand". The bag is clear w/ red and blue text on it. I heard this is a good sand to use to create a cheap DSB, although I have a few concerns.
1.)On the bag it says "Not recommended for Aquarium use." Should i be Concerned?
2.)Should i rinse this sand before putting it into the cycled water?
3.)Any other comments or concerns on this sand?
Thanks,
George

Very good choice to go with a DSB instead of CC. Do exactly what trojan said, you are one of the lucky ones that has access to southdown. Everyone is the south has a really hard time getting any. Good luck with your tank.

Before you add Southdown to your established aquarium please do a search for a post by Junbug1970 titled "Southdown Sand".
Southdown is great stuff but there is danger to adding dry aragonite sand directly to an established aquarium.

I read the post by Junbug1970 titled "Southdown Sand". & now im confused again.
I'm currently in the process of setting the tank up. I am probably gonna start adding RO/DI water into the tank tommorrow. Once full i will add the Instant Ocean.
But now I dont know how im supposed to add the Sand? Do i really have to soak it in water for a week before i add it? I dont wanna create cement in my tank.

ahh... so sorry... I'm a putz
If it's a new tank just put the sand in the bottom, add saltwater, skim off the foam with a net or something and then add live rock. It'll take 2 or 3 days to clear after you add the rock.
Sorry, I thought you were adding it to an established reef tank.
