If it were me I would increase waterflow to the coral and wait it out. If algae or coraline begins to grow on the tip then I'd start trimming but for now I'd give the coral an opportunity to grow back over the skeleton.

I had a birdsnest do that before and it took a couple months to get color again. I would frag it where the tissue had died like on a couple of those tips that have brown on them. Watch those spots they will probably start spreading. You might try lowering the colony or shading it since it has no zooxanthellae on it to protect it from over exposure now.

how would be the best way to "frag" those pieces off ? also how low should I put it, its about 1/2 of the way up right now...the base where there are no branches seems to be gettingthe yellow back..but its stil pretty faint

Like bang said, they are small enough now, I would just keep an eye on them and see if it grows back with increased flow and IMO decreased lighting, but if it starts moving down the branch, and it will rapidly if it starts, just take some bone cutters and cut it off close to the nearest split. I would put it in good flow near the bottom. What is your lighting anyways?

It's going to be hard to keep this coral alive while your trying to get parameters under control after all the issues you were having. SPS does not handle change well and this particular piece of coral is not as hardy as you'd like. You do need to get more flow on it so you don't get algae growth or coraline build up. That being said, too much flow can be just as bad, if not worse. This is why parameters must be super steady and the tank should be established before attempting corals, especially ORA SPS.
I'd do a lot of research about fragging it before you decide what to do since everyone has they're own way of cutting it. IMO, I don't know if I'd frag it yet, that might cause it even more unnecessary stress.
